Client Goals:
The capitalist market experience is largely companies trying to target customers and sell them on a product or service. This gives companies all the leverage, once you’ve come to them they know they have something you want. The goal of Cloutr is to shift the consumer paradigm and allow customers to team up and use their collective power to negotiate better prices for the goods/services they are already looking to buy.
Description:
Given a couple screens from a graphic designer we designed the remainder of the web app to achieve all of the necessary functionality and be accessible on devices of all sizes. The software we created to achieve the client’s goals consists of a geospatial proximity algorithm in conjunction with general CRUD functionality. With this Cloutr provides a community-driven platform to carry out the meeting and coordinating of users seeking deals on the same goods/services.
Highlights:
- Geospatial lookups to facilitate localization of deals as well as helping users find goods/services near them.
- FB Auth as a basis for user account creation to pseudo-validate users.
- Real-time chat to allow users to coordinate their negotiation before reaching out to the company to secure their deals.
